January 12: notes for Mid-Term

Doge’s Palace – 12th to 16th century. Palace was completed by 1559. Stairwell of the Giants executed in 1567 by Sansovino. The Main Gateway, also called Porta della Carta was executed by Giovanni and Bartolomeo Bon in 1438-42.
